What we do

The Interview Skills Program covers various types of interview questions, including behavioural questions. It teaches key interview techniques to improve interview success. The program can also be tailored to cover the assessment centre process run by recruitment consultants.

For example, let's take a fairly standard question employers often ask for positions at all levels.

Can you tell us about your approach to resolving conflict?

This seems fairly simple but many candidates ramble on this one and appear indecisive. They could also come across as hot-headed with poor negotiation skills, or present ineffective strategies that don't solve the core problem.

The Interview Skills Program shows you how to answer this question honestly to give a positive impression. The Career Coach covers a range of questions tailored to the position you are applying for. The key interview techniques you learn can then be transferred to future interview situations.

The Interview Skills Program includes the Interview Skills Kit and Help Desk Support. The Kit helps clients practice the key interview techniques after the program. Clients can also make telephone or email contact with the Career Coach on interview skills for up to 30 days after the sessions at no extra cost - a genuine offer and ongoing contact is encouraged.

A full range of other career development services is available - resumes, cover letters, career direction etc. For further information please contact Lawrence Arnold on 03 9880 7649 (BH) or 0449 746 955 after hours. Email: office@interviewskillsmelbourne.com
